Getting Started & Setup Instructions
Set up your Linq account, with or without a Linq product
There are a couple of routes that users can take to get started with Linq.
Route 1: Without a Linq Product or Before Your Linq Product Arrives.
- Steps:
- Download the Linq App from the App Store or Google Play, or visit linqapp.com/welcome.Sign in using a single-sign-on option or with your email
- Enter your full name, an accessible email, and a mobile number. The email or mobile number will be used for login. Without a mobile number, you won’t have text-based login. To log in later or elsewhere, use the same sign in method you used to sign up
- Add a Profile Photo, which will appear on your page and contact card when shared
- Enter your Job Title, Organization/Company, Location, and Industry to display under your profile. You may be offered a free trial; this is optional and can be accessed later in the Menu tab
- If you don’t have a product, you can skip the Product Activation step
- You’ll now see the Home Screen with Quick Actions, For You content, How-To Videos, and rewards. Complete your page setup to make it share-ready.
Route 2: With a Product via the 1st Tap or Scan
- Steps:
- Tap your product via the NFC chip (iPhone NFC is at the top end of the phone, Android is in the middle/top/bottom of the back of the phone)
- Click the notification. Click the blue button that says "Activate My ____". This will take you to the App Store or Google Play Store to download the app. Sign in using a single-sign-on option or with your email
- The next screen will let you Activate your product. Click Begin Activation
- Choose the NFC Reader or QR Scanner option. NFC asks you to tap the card with your phone's NFC reader.QR will have you scan the QR code printed on the product with your camera. When successful, you can now click "Activate My _____". "Success: Product Activated" screen should show
- Click Dismiss. Your product is now activated and you can continue to set up your Linq page
- Note: If you ever want to test your product (see what happens if you were connecting with it as someone else), you can log out (menu tab --> sign out), and scan your card to pull up your Linq page. If you are ever logged into your Linq account and scan your Linq product, it will pull up the Linq App with you logged in, showing you editing options. This is not the same flow for someone you're connecting with - they will just be brought to your set up Linq page
